Dear Students & Parents,

We are very excited to announce that the Harrison School of Music and New City School of Music are making their Carnegie Hall debut on Saturday September 28th, 2019!  Just in time for the New City School of Music’s 5th Anniversary which is on September 4th, 2019!

We look forward to hearing performances by our students in one of the world’s most prestigious concert halls and a magical evening filled with memories that will last for years to come.

As always, we’ll be taking care of all of the details so that you can have peace of mind knowing that the day of the performance will go smoothly and that you and your child’s first appearance at Carnegie Hall will be positive and memorable.  Imagine the transformation that your student will go through by preparing for and participating in this event.  Big events like this are known to bring out the best in performers – abilities that have always been there, but just hadn’t been uncovered yet!  You’ll be able to tell your friends, family and neighbors that your child had the opportunity as well as the confidence to play Carnegie Hall!  Not to mention the credibility of being able to add the performance to your child’s resume and college applications!

For many musicians, they aspire their entire careers to perform at Carnegie Hall.  We are very excited about the opportunity to have our students make their debut at Carnegie Hall with us this coming September!

Please read below for more information on registration, the audition process, what is included in your registration fee, and how to obtain extra tickets.

Please read the following carefully to ensure a smooth audition & registration process.

Audition Information

Participants for the Carnegie Hall performance will be selected by an audition process. We have selected 3 judges for their musical expertise and competence.  Judges will NOT be judging their own students, as to avoid any bias.  Selection of participants will be based objectively on the merits of their audition using a standardized grading sheet.

As per Carnegie Hall, we are only able to bring 30 solo performers to Carnegie Hall for this event.

Auditions for the September 28 2019 Carnegie Hall performance will be held on the following days:

New City School of Music:

Saturday May 11th 3:00pm

Saturday May 11th 4:00pm

Harrison School of Music:
